The 20-K2 food drive on Nov. 8th & 9th was a huge success. Merrick Lions came in first with the amount of food collected for Island Harvest. We also donated food and cash to the Cure of Ars and Sacred Heart food pantries. In total District 20-K2 collected 10,273 lbs. of food and $5.955 in cash to be distributed to those in need.

On October 11, 2020 Merrick Lions came together with other District 20-K2 Lions and Leo’s at Jones Beach and collected 50 bags of trash weighing in at 411 pounds. Operation Splash assisted us with saving our waterways and the Jones Beach Crew weighing and removing the garbage bags.

Every January the Merrick Lions have a Comedy Fundraiser. Covid-19 may prevent us from hosting one this coming January. Please check back with us to see what else we may have up our sleeve.

As a long standing tradition of the Lions, we collect eye glasses which are no longer needed. Collection boxes can be found at the North Merrick Library, Access Optical and Eyeworks.
